Divine Language of Music

Every religion incorporates music into its style, communication and modes of celebration and worship. Therefore music is a good way to build bridges across religious divides, demonstrate the power and meaning of music within each religion and educate and inform people from different faith backgrounds on the diversity and uniqueness of this medium.

In 2009-2011 we focused on several events that featured…
– sacred chanting
– sacred choral music
– sacred instrumental music
– sacred dancing

In 2011 and 2012 we featured two interfaith jazz concerts called “Body and Soul: An Interfaith Experience of Music and Sacred Texts in Action” with Dr. Stephen Rush and Rev. Reid Hamilton. The poster below is from the most recent event.

Currently there are plans for hosting another such concert in the future.

Here is last years.

DIVINE LANGUAGE OF MUSIC.
