At this Day Forum, a Unitarian Universalist witch will share some modern solstice traditions shared by those with earth-based spiritual practices. We will explore the connections with other winter holidays (Christmas, Hanukkah, Diwali, etc.), particularly the powerful religious imagery of light in darkness.<\/p>\n<p>Reese Havlatka (she\/her\/hers) is a Unitarian Universalist and witch of Celtic heritage. She was raised in a strongly Protestant family and has previously been a member of the United Church of Christ. As an adult, Reese has deepened into an earth-based spiritual practice that emphasizes community and ancestral reverence.
